Turns out the upper and lower bolts on the front shocks became loose and the steering bump stops were no good. Now the steering is tighter and the clunking noise has gone away.

I know both motors got a power boost in 99; anyone know what was done to do that? Also, when was the larger rear axle introduced? And isn't there a better trans in the 99-02?
