June 12, 20115 gallons in a 35 gallon tank is not a big deal.
if it was 10 or more, i would start to worry.
August 30, 2011I would think that would be too much gas. Everything I`ve read about accidentlly putting gas in a diesel states you should flush out the tank.
August 30, 2011I know that`s a lot of money for fuel, but do you know what it could cost if you have to do a major repair to the motor. Personally I would replace the fuel.
Does the noise in my head bother you?
August 30, 2011To update my original post with the results.... The truck ran fine, and have logged many miles since with no consequences.
August 31, 2011But little do you know that lurking underneath is a burnt piston just waiting to crater. Just kidding of course. I almost did the same thing myself last week. Yaking to another Ford guy at the pumps and never looked. Just grabbed the hose and started pumping. Then without looking started to have a panic attack until I saw I had used the correct one. So I know how you feel. Thank god it worked out ok.
August 31, 2011I ran my card at the pump, grabbed the `black` nozzle and inserted it into the filler tube. It was then my brain sent out the panic attack alarms.....
I hung up the black nozzle. I had to re-run my card and this time, using my eyes, grabbed the `green` handle.
