October 18, 2006im looking in to putting in a video screen in my dash, custome of course, fiberglass and what not. im looking for pictures on what you have in alll your trucks? and information on what is required to do this?
October 18, 2006Heres what I have...
It's an 8in touch screen, also have it hooked up to a computer in my center console, but it has video inputs as well... all done with aluminum, gorilla glue, and bondo, I like the way it came out!
October 19, 2006^^^Wow that looks awesome
October 19, 2006i like that .. how much was the screen?
October 19, 2006I got it brand new on eBay for $225, I know you can find them around online too.. The brand is Lilliput and they make lots of different sizes and such..
October 22, 2006dumb question... how do you work your a/c?
October 22, 2006^^ I believe he relocated the controls lower to the center console.
October 22, 2006^^ That would be me! Yep, moved them down to the expedition console in the center, thought about making a computer controled system, but it would be too much work with the manual a/c system, all the servos and such, so I just moved them..
October 23, 2006man, that has got to be the coolest set up i've ever seen lol. you should deffinately do a "How to" on your whole set up. especially the computer that you put into the CD changer shell. that is crazy
October 23, 2006I just might have to do that, I still need to finish up the center console with the bondo and stuff, but maybe when I get it done I will do a write up on it!
October 23, 2006sounds good to me lol. did you use laptop parts or what? sorry if i'm buggin ya with these questions. I have a 10 disc cd changer layin around lol
October 23, 2006No problem.. for the motherboard I used a mini-ITX board, and then got a 12-volt MOREX power supply, so I dont have to use my inverter. The hard drive is a laptop 40gb drive, then I used a laptop CD-ROM, but I am getting ready to rework that and mold the cd drive into the console..
