September 30, 2006So I have decided that it is finnaly time to get some gears, hoping to get into my 38's by the middle of winter, hopfully before the snow hits! anyhow, I am wondering where you all think is the best place to get them, I am still debating on doing them myself or not, so give me some options! thanks!

September 30, 2006Randys ring and pinion
did me good in the past
September 30, 2006randies ring and pinion would be a good one, but if u have it done at there shop, they charge, ALOT, they were asking i believe 850 for my gears + install.
I had it done at 4wheel parts with prescision gears for 650, and I believe right now they are offering some sort of discount if u get both changed(front/rear)
but randies, prescision, motive gears are all pretty good.
September 30, 2006cool, well I will give both of them a call monday and see what they have to say, anyone else have any input??
October 3, 2006I've heard that Randy's is the best (from several friends). 4 wheel parts and Billy Bob's are usually way overpriced. You may also try contacting Joe at Cascade Offroad.
We've always changed gears ourselves, so I have no first hand experience with a shop installing them. Goodluck!
