December 26, 2003I have heard really good things about the Mother's Claybar and I have personally used Meguiar's Claybar. Both of these can be bought with a bottle of Quik Detailer which you use to lubricate the surface. However, if you have to wait you might want to order some Detail Spray and a Claybar from Adam's. It is without question the nicest claybar I have used. It is worth the cost.
December 26, 2003thats what I call aquick reply esp. during the holiday season! Been thinking about getting some online products that have been mentioned here but appears that Santa has ran up my credit cards so gotta buy from b/m store.Heard that the mothers bar is good also some one said while back that Walmart carries the Mequiers bar in a kit..guess time for a road to wallyworld
December 26, 2003Wal Mart carries Meguiers Clay bars it's about $11.00. They work well.
December 26, 200347 bucks, for that price it should include a girl in a bikini to clay bar your truck for you. Avg price is about 20 bucks and that includes a bottle of Clay Bar Lube which is just detail spray.
December 26, 2003The Meguiar's Detailer Series clay bar is far better than their old consumer clay bar. It is at least twice the size of most bars in the same price range - $18.
The Meguiar's Professional Series clay bar is also a decent deal at around $19 for two 100 gram bars.
So far, I'm not a big fan of the new Meguiar's white "Quik Clay" bar that they recently came out with, but I've only used it once........... need to work with it more.
The Adam's clay bar is a nice clay bar, and seems very similar to the Mother's clay bar which is also nice, and a great value for the once a year user.
The blue Clay Magic clay bars are excellent clay bars, but very pricey.
December 26, 2003Here in Florida, the Mothers will run you about $15.00 or $16.00 and the Clay Magic is usually around $10.00. I usually opt for the Clay magic.
December 26, 2003try an auto body supply store ..........you'll save big time!
December 27, 2003Ive been hereing good things about adams polish. I am going to be ordering some here shortly.
December 27, 2003i just bought mothers clay bar kit at pepboys today and it was 15.00.
December 27, 2003Myself along with my detail products, I use the Mothers Claybar kit, I have also used the Meguiars kit in the past and have had great results with both, only problem with the Meguiars, you need to use plenty of the lube so that the bar will not stick to your finish, so in return you will be buying tons of the stuff, thats the only downside to the Meguiars claybar kit, other then that I have had nothing but good results with it. ClayMagic is another that I am going to be trying as I have heard nothing but good about it as well.
