December 23, 2003The beige leather on the 03 Navigator is difficult to keep clean due to its color and pebbled texture. Is there a risk in removing the finish if it is cleaned too often. I am finding it necessary to clean the drivers seat every 4 weeks.

December 25, 2003You should be okay if you use a mild cleanser that's designed for leather. All leather will eventually wear out just as any cloth, the trick is to use the right stuff to keep it looking good as long as possible.
December 25, 2003Vegas is correct ... right products and you will be fine. The leather in the Navi should be about the same as the EB Expy right? That is some pretty sturdy leather and what I have done is take some mild soapy water and a stiff brush to them. Let them dry and then apply a good conditioner. There are many out there you can use ... for the real nice leather in BMW's, etc ... I use Pinnacles Leather Lotion because they seem to love that leather scent. For everything else I use Natural Look from Poorboys with great results
December 28, 2003I've got the tan leather interior on my truck. I'm using the Turtle Wax leather cleaner & conditioner wipes. I have the same problem you do by having to clean quite often and I have had the same worry. These wipes clean very good, not too expensive, and leaves the leather soft and new looking.
