March 31, 2009So the other day I replaced the lower intake manifold gasket on my Edelbrock P/N 3881 EFI Manifold for a 94 F150 with 5.8L. Everything goes go except as I am assembling everything back I noticed the wire that goes inside the resistor next to the ignition coil has been pulled out.
I''m not sure exactly what it does (prehaps retards the ignition *or* protects it?) but I am currently limping along with three zip tips holding the wire against it.
There is no gurantee how long it will last like this. Anyone know what exactly it is and how I can replace it?
The truck is a 94 F150 with 5.8L and E40D 4x4. It sports a MSD 6 Ignition,E3 Plugs, Edelbrock Intake, K&N Air Intake, BBK Throttle Body, Hooker Headers, Flowmaster Super 40 with a custom true dual exhaust and its Bored .030 over with the stock cam (for the moment muhahaha).
