January 30, 2008I have a 1992 F-150 that is giving me some trouble. It has been stalling when shifting in to reverse, when making sharp turns and when stoping. It also idles down low and brings a drag on the chagring gauge sometimes when you turn on the heater fan lights or other accessories. Also all these problems are not an everyday thing but every few days for sure. Any help would be great. Thanks Justin.

January 30, 2008I could be a faulty battery, alternator, or charge wire causing voltage in the pcm to drop and causing funky things happening to your Idle air control. Have your charging system checked before messing with the PCM or sensors. It seems like there is a voltage supply problem because when you are stopping or turning, you a probably turning on the brake lights. It could also be the other way around, having a bad IAC causing the rpm to be low, and thus causing charging problems.
January 31, 2008Try Cleaning the Idle Air control valve on the Throttle body. when they get clogged, they can do that too. it's dropping the idle down and not adjusting properly so it stalls.
I would look there first.
