August 19, 2007About one time A month my truck will not start,It just cranks like it is not getting any fuel.Usually with in 10 - 15 minutes it will start.I'm thinking how ever the engine is shut off, is hanging up.Any one know how the engine is shut off, fuel cut off solinoid,where it is located. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Grumpy

August 19, 2007I had the same problem with my F150 (5.4L) I can't even remember what it was, all I know is Ford charged like $400 to fix it
August 19, 2007There is no fuel solenoid, it is all controlled by a computer called the Injection Driver Module. Have you had Ford updated the flash file on the ecm? I know that they changed some things to help them on initial startup.
August 19, 2007Probably the high pressure line on the HPOP leaking. Ford has a TSB on this and should fix your issue. If it comes completely off, the truck will not start. I think it has to read a min of 500 psi before it will start.
