July 15, 2007i have no cat at all now
July 16, 2007I think you should do it, I did with 2 high flow cats from Catco. I dont know thw difference between brands but I have a friend with the same exhaust with the same truck except she doesnt have the high flows and mine sounds soo much better. Go for it man!
July 20, 2007after my brother put high flow cats on his lightning, not only did he see a little performance gain, it also made the truck sound very unique. its no question of whether or not it's worth it. id recommend it to anybody.
that having been said, does what are anybody's opinions on various brands of cats? i mean theres magnaflow and catco, but ive heard bassani makes the baddest cats out there (though i havent been able to FIND them anywhere, nor have i found evidence bassani even makes them). ive decided its time that i replaced the cats on my 138,000 mile beast, and its high flow or nothing!
July 20, 20072001 F250 Superduty with 5.4, no cat, no check engine light and alot of power!! Gibson duals, K&N, and Edge EEF2100.
July 22, 2007I agree, with my high flow cats they make my exhaust note sounds so much better. I would highly recommend them.
July 22, 2007f250lightnin, believe me, i prefer the idea of running my truck without cats at all, but it would never pass TX emissions inspections (unfortunately, some inspectors still check to see if the stock exhaust setup is there from the cats forward, and they fail you with no cats)
