February 15, 2005Hey guys, I have a 2000 F-250 w/ 7.3l Powerstroke and I am running a 6" lift w/ 36" IROKs. I was wondering what you guys think would be the best way to upgrade the braking power to make this truck stop like stock(or better if possible). Thanks.

February 15, 2005I have ART slotted rotors with hawk pads and they stop a little shorter than stock rotors.
February 15, 2005i also have ART slotted rotors with Performance Friction pads. it made a big differance on my truck. my truck use to shake like crazy when i use to brake hard. now it brakes very smooth and dont make any noise and it improved my stoping distance aswell.

February 15, 2005Both ART or ORU's slotted rotors will make a big difference.
Also upgrading your brake lines to steel-braided makes a noticable difference.
February 15, 2005There's a kit out where you can install F450 brakes on your SD. But I think you have to use at least 17 inch wheels.
February 15, 2005I put a set of Skyjacker braided stainless brakelines on front and rear. Made a noticable difference. Some better pads and rotors along with would be the way to go.
February 15, 2005im also in the market for some new rotors and pads..i did alot of homework on them and decided on ARTs..the ORUs are suppose to be great but cost $1000 for both ft and rr.
February 15, 2005ORU's are ART's rotors, thats where they buy them from and then they charge u an arm and leg. Go to the source and call ART.
