September 20, 2014Hello, I have an 88 F150 that won`t idle unitl it warms up even then it still hunts for an idle. I dont have any vacuum leaks, I replaced the TPS, ACT, ECT, cut the rear cat off checked the timing, adjusted the timing cleaned the IAC and throttle body. Even when driving the truck it feels like I am towing the titanic, the damn thing is constanly down shifting to maintain speed. I need sugestions. I have exhausted myselftrying to figure this damn thing out. Oh and the fuel pressure runs around 35-40 PSI. It holds 25lbs of vacuume with no fluctuation at idle. If I weren`t bald I would be pulling my hair out.

there is like a cord/wire which regulates the rpms, if you move over the little bolt and cord.. you can increase your low rpms to a higher rpm
I had a rough and low idle to where It felt like I was going to stall.. and once I had made it to where it wouldn`t idle so low, everything was fine
took just a few minutes
Ive gotten 1st place trophies for offroad performance (like in mud)Ive also gotten 1st place trophies at regular shows when I had to clean off all the mud.. hahaha... and then I totaled my 4x4..
