The rear sensor probably needs to be replaced. Pretty common problem. I replaced mine a few years ago. The sensor is on the top, front of the rear differential.November 30, 2010
check the brake fluid level first. if it is down even a tiny bit the light will come on.if the fluid is fine then it is most likely the sensor as said.

Anyone have any pictures of what these abs sensors look like and where they are located? My ABS light came on last night also.December 6, 2010
ABS sensor is located on the pumpkin of the rear axle.January 26, 2011
I replaced the sensor on the top of the differential. Filled up the reservoir, and cleared the codes. The light still comes on immediately after starting the truck. I took it to the local mechanic and he says its the "ABS module". $1300 for a new one, or he can send it out and have it rebuilt for $600. This sound normal??January 26, 2011

if it comes on immediately after start up and before moving vehicle, sounds like a wiring issue. something rubbed through, wire pinched/cut, something not plugged in, or corrosion in a plug/connector. did he give you what code the truck had?Six in a row makes it go!

I have never heard of the module going bad.mstrss95 has a good point and if it is indeed bad I would try getting one from a junk yard.
