June 27, 2010I want to take the factory trim off my 93 f350 ive heard that running dental floss behind it takes it off is there any other tricks ill need to know? like if the residue is left how could i get it off?

June 28, 2010use the goo be gone. if you plan on keeping the trim make sure you have two ppl cause if not you and can curl the metal in the trim
June 28, 2010I poured boiling hot water along my trim to loosen the adhesive behind it and then pulled it right off. Yeah use the goo gone for any leftover residue. Depending on your paint`s finish, you might have to polish and wax it if the color varies.

July 5, 2010sounds strange but use a heat gun to soften it and use some of the stoner solutions invicible glass window cleaner,it is safe for paint and actually removes adhesive,it worked wonders removing adhesive after removing window tint and it is safe for paint,some of the additives in goo gone may damage paint
