May 20, 2010My `97 F150 is equipped with a Prodigy brake controller. When towing in the mountains (which I do all the time) I like to use the emergency flashers during long up hill climbs, and allow the truck to slow a bit, conserving fuel. This causes my trailer brakes to pulse in time with the flasher. I purchased a pulse preventer, which is really just a diode that goes between the brake controller and the turn signal/hazard switch. I`m trying to figure out where to physically wire it in. Anybody?

May 21, 2010I don`t know anything about the pulse preventer, but are you sure you don`t have a short between the trailer brake line and the truck brake lights? The flashers use the same filament in the bulb as the brake lights so you may not notice it while braking.
I`ve towed with a `95 F150 and now with my F350, I used the same Prodigy in both. I`ve never had that problem.
