May 20, 2009Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
That''s in the Bible as well, Plane. Like Phil said, Christians are far from perfect, but we are forgiven. Not because we did enough good (we''re not Catholic) but because we have faith in Jesus.
I won''t claim to be as good of an example as I should be, and you bring out the worst in me, because you make me angry and I get sarcastic. It does seem to be the only way to get a response sometimes, and it''s hard to let someone just sit there and bash Christians and our faith.
Like I said before, your refusal to believe in the God of Abraham (I need to be specific, since false religions have their own gods) doesn''t at all make Him less real.
