Search the suv under soundclips and there is an excursion w/a v-10. Also there is a thread floating around about a discount on the muffler this month from Z7 what.
Here are some more sound clips.
January 23, 2008It won't sound like a V8 but they can be made to sound pretty decent. I'm pretty content with mine though I probably wouldn't do headers again. Just don't think I got enough bang for the buck with those and now they need re-tightened. I'd just do duals with high flow cats next time with Borla or the Aero mufflers.
Borla headers w/y-pipe
Borla SI/SO cat-back exhaust
Dynatech power cat

January 23, 2008mine has magnaflow exhaust on it and sounds pretty good IMO.. when I get home from work ill make a vid of it for ya
March 5, 2008I personally don't like the sound of
the v-10 period.....but I have the flowmaster
40 series on mine, and its OK
I should get a video.
May 23, 2009I have dual super 44 series flowmaster on mine. They are dual 2 1/2" all they way back. Also, I have 3 1/2" tips. It sounds great, it is loud and rumbles a lot. When I downshift it sounds like a jake break!! I have not heard another V10 anywhere that sounds better than mine. But sound is personal preference. Kind of like a GT mustang being dumped, some like it loud, some don''t!
November 6, 2009I took the muffler of my 06 when it was almost new, worked well and sounds good too.
