I was in Wally world today and they have it there. I am not so good with this stuff though. I can add it to the gas & add some to my oil in 2 months when i go to have it changed, but what exactly do i do to add it to the brake?Forums : Tips & Tricks : Sea Foam? (12713 Views)

dont ADD it to the brake at all...there is a VACUUM line that comes off the brake booster (usually right near the master cyclender - the big round thing near the firewall...
theres a vacuum line on it, pull it off and pour it down there like the can says

Last night I did this. Granted it was dark and my flashlight wasn't the greatest but I put 60% of the can in the gas tank and the other 40% in the vacuum hose of the brake booster line waited 30 minutes then drove it for about 5 miles and I never saw any smoke? I know I didn't spill any because my hands were dry... anyways I could hear the vacuum sucking it in. So, was 40% not enough in the vacuum hose to notice? This morning I didn't see smoke either?March 6, 2007
happy birthday - was engine warm when you did this, if engine aint warm i dont think it works as goodkenny

gear head if you go back to the previous post all of your questions will be answered...but in a nut shell it's a pretroleum distilate that when added to a hot motor will cause the carbon that is built up to crack allowing the distillate to break it down and allow it to be burned throught the exhaust. I've been using it for about 4 yrs now on multiple vehicles foreign and domestic and also have gotten numerous friends hooked on it benefits. Never and I mean NEVER have I had any issue where the seafoam didn't improve my motor.. never damaged it.Gateman

I used it today and didn't get any smoke at all... maybe I did not use enough. I put 2/3 in the gas tank and 1/3 through the vacuum line. It sucked it up and I waited about 10 minutes or so and started again and drove but no smoke or anything.March 7, 2007
when you drive it, its hard to see the smoke especially at night...If you dont get tons of smoke this is a good thing - it means your truck is running cleaner- less carbon deposits, however it means that you wont see much benefit either.
Dont worry about using more - I did half a can in the vacuum, let it sit for 10 minutes and I started it, didnt smoke till i was half way up the hill - then it smoked like crazy
must be done on warm engine!
next time im going to see if it will suck it right up from the can!
