May 31, 2006Well, it seems that I am going to have to lock my tools in my own house......from my wife. God bless her and her attempts to help (only one arm works - surgery), but she is killing me. Now I might be a neat freak, but I say I am orginazed. I went out to grap a phillips screwdriver from the tool chest. Appearently while she has used them, she just throws them back into the drawer anywhere. I had flatheads on one side, phillips on the other and stars in the middle. Easy to find, especially when you know what you need. Now they are all over the place, tools in other drawers that were not supposed to be there. It is like a scavenger hunt to find anything. Again, I might be a tight wad when it comes to this, but that's just how I am. Plus, she doesn't always put things away period. Just places them either on my workbench or leaves them where ever she used them. Sorry, just thought I would vent.

May 31, 2006LOL sounds about like our house! I have all the bad male habits and my husband has to complain about me LOL
Get her, her own tools then she can keep them the way she wants and won't need yours!
May 31, 2006my wife knows better than to touch my tools. You better train her better Mike.
June 1, 2006The solution is to buy her a complete set of cheapo tools Spend $100 buy her her own screwdrivers, little hammer and some wrenches and sockets. Then she has to use her own.
:Edit just realized sherwolf just said this.
June 1, 2006-stupid that is what my dad did, now my mom has her own little toolbox,

I set my wife up with her own tools (not those shown above, but they would work) inside the house in a kitchen drawer. No need for her to go searching around the garage.
...And BTW, she's much neater with her tools than I am. My disorganization is all mine, leave it alone.
June 1, 2006Exactamundo! I bought my wife a little tool kit she keeps in a closet. My tools, cabinets, and countertops in the garage are off limits! She can do whatever she wants inside the house, just leave my garage alone!!!

my wife has a cheapo set of tools in it's own box. but i end up doing everything now anyway.
mike, just tell her to have you do it, as hard as i may be for your shoulder, you'll know where everything is. at least you have pain meds for your shoulder, but not for "wife frustrations"!
