April 2, 2006I was in a small accident recently, but hit hard enough for the bags to deploy. two weeks ago I had both bags replaced but now the air bag light in the dashboard wont turn off. What do I have to do? Do I need it reprogramed. What is needed. Thanks in advance

April 3, 2006Try resetting the computer.
Turn the headlights on and un-plug the negative battery terminal for 15 minutes.
April 4, 2006Yea, tried it already. No go. I heard somewhere about some module or somethin that needs to be reprogrammed?
April 4, 2006You have to replace witch ever aibag sensor was hit, to fire the bags, messing with your own airbags if you dont know what your doing is very very dangerous, and in some places illegal. you need to have the computer checked to see which of the modulas or sensors is hit, and replace it, and make sure verything is dont right, right now the air bags are safe and its very unlikly they can go off, but once that module is fixed, if the air bags werent installed right, they can be a hazard. run a diagnostic on the computer to see what airbag code comes up, and go from there.
i'll say it again, air bags CAN KILL, if you dont know what your doing please dont mess with them.
