November 20, 2004I kinda had that in mind, but most of my power tools are Milwalkee(sp)
However, there switches suck
November 20, 2004At home we have a Milwaukee 18V drill and it works good. But at work we have a DeWalt and it is awesome!
November 20, 2004I like DeWalt and Rigid! have both and love the 2 battery charger with rigid! both have good torque and both mine are hammer drills. dewalt is 3 speed and rigid is 2. sawzalls are evenly mached. the rigid tools are heavier though, so if you are going to carry it on a belt i would say dewalt. if not then i would say rigid.
November 20, 2004I recently bought a RIDGID over the Dewalt. The price on both was the same, but the RIDGID 3-year warranty even covers the batteries!!!
November 20, 2004I would go DeWalt or Makita. I have had my Makita for about 5 yrs now and have abused the crap out of it and it still is as strong as new. My only problem with DeWalt is that there stuff is really heavy.
