April 4, 2004thankfully i'm done and without damaging any threads. one of the problems were that the drill bits we had would not drill through the glass or the electrode inside. so we had to do some mods to an external easy out. it took a little work to get it to bite but we got that little pain. i took some pics. of the nightmare.
April 4, 2004Glad to hear it, using cylinder pressure would have been a lot easier than trying to drill it, but hey, whatever works!
April 9, 2004yup, the crappy "100k mile" plugs did that on mine too. dealer told me they were going to have to pull the head. we just told them to do whatever they could without having to pull the head. eventually they got it out with an ez out
April 10, 2004Wow! I'm glad I read this thread!
I'm for sure going to check mine before 100,000 kms!
Thanx for posting this.
January 26, 2005I know this is a little late but I have to give my thanks to Rick for showing me the way to fix that dreaded problem. I did everything he mentioned and when I went to crank it over and check there was the little piece of sprak plug sitting right there. The got my ez out and tapped it out and now it's all good. Thanks Rick you saved me some big trouble....
