thanks to dustin and cindy for working with me on my mirror idea... im actually thinking maybe the same thing for the left and right mirrors on the outside.. just at thought for now tho..

Dustin/Cindy,

I wanted to thank you again for the STX overlays, they look great.

I thought I had read on here somewhere to put like a drop of soap in water and use that mixture to help get the overlays in the perfect spot. Is that the correct way as I didn't see anything about that in the instructions sent with the overlays.

/\...what I did when I put my overlays on was to clean the surface using windex or something like that. Then sprayed soapy water on the back of the overlay and on the surface. That way you can move it around to the exact spot you want it to be. Then take a credit card and squeegy (sp) the excess water/soap out. Then you can take a hair dryer and dry the rest of the moisture.

Ruined my steering wheel overlay. Didn't get it on straight using the dry method. Since I didn't like how much it was off I carefully peeled it off thinking maybe I can get lucky and re-use it (even though I knew better). Don't ever think that, believe them when they say you can't peel it off and expect to re-use it.

So I thought I would try the soapy method on the tailgate and it went better. It was still a pain to get it lined up just right but it is on now and looks good.

I still have the front emblem to do over the weekend.
